Congressman John Moolenaar
The office of Congressman John Moolenaar is currently accepting applications for internship positions available in Caledonia, Clare, and Washington, D.C.
The internship program is open to college students and recent graduates who are interested in learning more about our nation’s legislative process and the day-to-day operations of a Congressional office. Opportunities are available beginning in January 2026 in all three offices.
Internship responsibilities in Caledonia and Clare include helping constituents when they need assistance with federal agencies, attending district events and meetings, answering phones, and monitoring the latest news developments throughout the district.
Intern responsibilities in Washington, D.C. include conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol, researching federal legislation and assisting legislative staff. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend legislative briefings and hearings on Capitol Hill.
Applicants are asked to provide a cover letter, resume, and any specific legislative issues or areas of interest. Applications should be submitted by the close of business on
Nov. 14, 2025. College credits are available per school requirements.
