HART — Hart City Hall will be temporarily closed Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27 and 28, for construction.
The closure is due to removal of asbestos tile flooring that was discovered after carpet removal from a recent flood, said Interim Hart City Manager Nichole Kleiner.
“We’ve got a flat roof here at city hall,” said Kleiner previously. “One of the drains was clogged and it was compromised, so when we had heavy rain (Sept. 3), it flooded the building through a pipe that was clogged.” There were “a couple inches of water” in the building when it flooded.
The city hall will reopen Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 8 am. The dropbox in the front of the building is available for any payments or documents that residents need to deliver.
