Ludington Varsity Girls Volleyball defeats Fremont.

Submitted by Coach Alex Hoffman
On Tuesday, Oct. 22 the Ludington Varsity Girls Volleyball Team brought its 5-0 record in conference play to Fremont, also 5-0 coming into the night, for the final league matchup of the regular season. Despite the magnitude of the moment, the Orioles came out composed and on a mission to compete, winning the first two sets in thrilling fashion. Fremont responded by taking sets three and four, setting up a winner-take-all fifth set – where the Os brought the Packers’ momentum to a screeching halt and won 3-2, claiming the WMC Lakes Division regular-season title in the process! That brings the team’s record to 22-15-3 (6-0 WMC Lakes) on the season.
Next up, the Os travel to Montague on Saturday, October 25 for the WMC Lakes Division League Championship, where they will be the No. 1 seed in the bracket. Opponent to be determined.
