Mary Jane Crimp, 94, of Rockford, formerly of Pentwater, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at StoryPoint in Rockford. She was born November 17, 1930, in Detroit, the daughter of Lloyd Paul and Irene Edna (Hodder) Bradshaw.

On May 10, 1952, Mary Jane married the love of her life, Calvin Samuel Crimp, in Detroit, and they enjoyed 65 wonderful years together until his passing on May 31, 2017.

Mary Jane grew up in Detroit and graduated from Thomas M. Cooley High School. After marrying, she lived at various times in Montana, the Detroit area, New Jersey, west Michigan and spent a long time in the Holly-Fenton area of Michigan, where she was an active member of the Fenton First Presbyterian Church. After moving to Pentwater, Mary Jane was deeply involved in the Centenary United Methodist Church. During her long life, Mary Jane enjoyed traveling around the U.S. and the world with her husband and children. She enjoyed swimming and fishing in Pentwater, socializing and square dancing with Cal, and her best friend and sister, Carolyn and her husband Bob. Over her life she filled her time with quilting, canning, collecting stamps, and playing a large variety of card and board games with family and friends. As a lifelong Detroit Tiger fan, she attended both the 1945 and 1984 World Series.

Mary Jane is survived by: her daughter, Katherine Policoro; sons, Martin (Liz Foster) Crimp and Thomas (Kristin) Crimp; grandchildren, Rebekah (John) Kovarik, Tami (Nate) Majszak, Meredith Baumann (James Seelhoff), Madeleine (Jarrett) James, Maxwell (Corey) Crimp, Mitchell (Lauren) Crimp; great-grandchildren, Kyah, Bella, Juliana, Evan, Otto, and Bode; sister, Carolyn Augustine; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by: her loving husband, Calvin Samuel Crimp; parents, Lloyd and Irene Bradshaw; brother-in-law, Robert Augustine; son-in-law, Joseph Policoro; and granddaughter, Mackenzie Leigh Crimp.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Pentwater Township Cemetery.
