Willard Leroy Harvey

Willard Leroy “Lee” Harvey, 88, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 22, 2025. He was born December 29, 1936, in Dearborn, the son of Robert and Alice (Mongeau) Harvey.

Lee was a devoted member of the Elbridge Community Church, where he not only worshiped but also dedicated countless hours to volunteering and supporting the church’s fundraising efforts.

He built his career in the automotive industry, working many years in car sales. His dedication and leadership earned him the role of district manager for both Chrysler and Jaguar sales teams, and he later spent many years with VerHage Auto Sales of Holland.

Lee also had a deep love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his garden, apple trees, and blueberry bushes. While he was known to share his blueberries, it was always with the playful condition that he be promised a pie in return. Summers were especially cherished, as he delighted in gathering with family and friends at School Section Lake.

Lee is survived by: his children, Debra (Warren) Westerhof, Linda (Dave) Ash, Robert (Rosemary) Harvey, Annette Wenum, Mark (Michele) Harvey, Kelly Groters, and Craig Groters; sisters, Sandra Smith, Deanna Sinks, and Shelley (Bob) Dillingham; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and special friend Diana Routley.

Lee was preceded in death by: his wife, RoseMary (Brouwer) Harvey; former wife, Margaret Sowa; parents, Robert and Alice (Mongeau) Harvey; sisters, Marlene Bradley, Shirley Hope, Carol Sullivan, and Renee Tank; brothers in law, Chuck Bradley, Jim Hope, Joe Sullivan, Bob Tank, Ted Smith, and Ralph Sinks.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Elbridge Community Church, 2370 N 136th Ave, Hart (Elbridge Township). Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church, with a light lunch offered for fellowship immediately following services. Interment will take place in the Elbridge Township Cemetery.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
