DHD #10 announces upcoming COVID and flu walk-in clinics

HART – District Health Department #10 announced that 2025-2026 COVID-19 and flu immunizations are now available, and upcoming COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinics are scheduled.

The new Pfizer COVID-19 vaccination is now available at DHD#10 for everyone ages 5 years and older. To learn more about the COVID-19 immunization schedule, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/index.html. In addition, DHD#10 is beginning its COVID-19 and flu walk-in clinics for the fall season. Walk-in clinics are added weekly — however, residents can schedule appointments at DHD#10 over the phone (888-217-3904) or online by visiting https://www.dhd10.org/schedule.

“It’s that time of the year when COVID-19 and flu begin to make their way around our community. It’s important that residents are up-to-date on their vaccinations to help limit the spread of these viruses,” said DHD#10 Health Officer Kevin Hughes. “Vaccinations are still the best way to reduce your risk of complications from severe infection, as well as protecting those around you. Even if you’ve never received a COVID-19 vaccine in the past, it’s never too late to get vaccinated.”

DHD#10 is hosting public COVID-19 and flu walk-in clinics at the following locations:

Oceana County

St. Joseph’s Church

Thursday, Sept. 25, 1-3 p.m.

Mason County

Scottville Senior Center

140 S Main St.

Friday, Sept. 29, noon to 2 p.m.

Ludington Senior Center

308 S Rowe St.

Friday, Sept. 29, 9-11 a.m. 

Manistee County

Bear Lake Community Church

7861 Main St.

Thursday, Oct. 2, 10 a..m. to noon

Many health insurance plans cover the cost of flu and COVID-19 vaccines. If not, DHD#10 may be able to help through Vaccines for Children (VFC) or other programs. DHD#10 can bill the following: Medicare*, Medicare Advantage Plans*, Medicaid, Medicaid Health Plans, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Care Network**, Priority Health, McLaren Commercial, ASR, Aetna, Health Alliance Plan (HAP), United Health Care, and TRICARE with an insurance card present at the time of appointment. It is important to be aware of your insurance benefit rules. Bring your insurance cards and your driver’s license.

*Medicare can only be billed for Flu, Pneumococcal, or PCV13 shots.

**Excludes Mercy Partnered Plans.
