HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:
Hooker
– Nathaniel Kain Hooker, 42, pleaded guilty July 7 to assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced Sept. 8 to three days in jail with credit for three days served; one year probation; and $658 in fines and costs. Two additional counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and one count of disturbing the peace were dismissed, according to court records.
Guerrero
– Miguel Angel Guerrero, 44, pleaded guilty July 7 to third-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Sept. 8 to six months in jail with credit for three days served; two years probation; and $1,108 in fines, costs and restitution, according to court records.
Kissling
– Nicholas James Kissling, 26, pleaded guilty June 23 to fourth-degree fleeing a police officer and was sentenced Sept. 8 to two months in jail and $598 in fines and costs. Kissling’s sentence runs consecutively to any parole violation sanctions he receives, according to court records. He is on parole for a 2021 Ionia County conviction of prisoner possessing weapons, according to Michigan Department of Corrections records.
Mayer
– Evan Joshua Mayer, 31, pleaded guilty July 7 to two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon/felonious assault and was sentenced Sept. 8 to 29 days in jail with credit for 29 days served; 18 months probation; and $726 in fines and costs. Mayer was ordered to have no contact with the victim, and probation is recommending that he is placed on Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring (SCRAM). Two counts of felony firearms were dismissed.
