The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:
Friday, Aug. 29, 2025:
- 6:51 p.m., a 50-year-old New Baltimore, Mich. man was cited for driving while license revoked, and a 51-year-old Dearborn Heights, Mich. woman was cited for allowing a revoked driver to operate, West Taylor Road, Golden Township.
Saturday, Aug. 30, 2025:
- 12:07 a.m., a 48-year-old Mears man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated and driving while license revoked, North 40th Avenue near Wilson Road, Golden Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 10:15 p.m., a 60-year-old Mears man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and open intoxicants, West Taylor Road near 64th Avenue, Golden Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025:
- 12:35 a.m., a 19-year-old Howell, Mich. man was arrested for operating while intoxicated — under 21, North 40th Avenue near Fox Road, Golden Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 3:34 a.m., a 24-year-old Manistee man was arrested on a warrant, West Tyler Road near 72nd Avenue, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. Charges of heroin possession and probation violation are pending lab analysis of the substance.
- 4:54 p.m., a 48-year-old Homewood, Ill. man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and operating an ORV in the roadway, 34th Avenue near Taylor Road, Golden Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2025:
- 4:40 p.m., a 32-year-old Hart man was arrested for operating with a high blood alcohol content/super drunk driving following a vehicle crash, Monroe Road near Longbridge Road, Pentwater Township. The man suffered minor injuries in the crash and was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 7:32 p.m., a 35-year-old Montague man was cited for driving while license suspended and improper license plate, Skeels Road near 168th Avenue, Greenwood Township.
- 11:22 p.m., a 63-year-old Holland, Mich. man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, US 31 near Winston Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
