Perysian is having a grand opening celebration of his new business this holiday weekend beginning Thursday, Aug. 28, through Monday, Sept. 1. “To celebrate the grand opening, I’ll also be holding a raffle for two $25 gift certificates — with every $10 spent earning an entry.” The store will stay open until 8 p.m. each day of the grand opening.
“My business has grown quickly — I started just a few months ago as a seasonal snack chalet next to the Tin Man and, thanks to overwhelming community support, I have now moved into a year-round retail location,” he said.

The business specializes in exotic and imported snacks like chips, candy, ramen and drinks; tabletop role playing games and tabletop gaming supplies; and fantasy-themed gifts. The fragrant aroma of wax warming wafts through the shop.
“I have one of the largest selections of imported Lay’s (potato chip) flavors probably in the state.” He has tasty food and snacks from countries all over the world.
He utilized his woodworking wizardry to create the shelves and front counter in the enchanting space.
“In addition to my products, we’re building a community gaming space where local volunteers host ‘Learn to Play’ events for games like Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering. These events are designed to welcome

Dungeons and Dragons (or D&D) is a fantasy tabletop role playing game that first appeared on the scene decades ago. It recently reignited in popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic, said Perysian. “As soon as COVID hit, the

Business hours are Tuesday through Thursday from noon to 6 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon to 8 p.m. The store is closed Sunday and Monday.
“An artificer is someone who is an inventor who puts magic into the stuff that they build.”
As his business has expanded, Perysian is planning for future growth. “Looking ahead, my larger vision for The

My goal is to make the shop a place where creativity, learning, and community come together year round.”
