GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A 23-year-old Kalamazoo man was transported to an area hospital after the side-by-side ATV he was driving at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes Sunday, Aug. 10, “overturned several times,” according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
The man was operating a 2019 Honda SXS 1000 that “was traveling southbound going over Test Hill,” states the report. “The vehicle lost control and overturned several times landing on its side. The driver had a laceration to his left arm. The vehicle had damage on the front, the front engine cover and the rear tire. The vehicle was driven back to the rental facility.”
A passenger, who is a 24-year-old Grand Rapids man, was not injured. Both men were wearing seatbelts in the 6:57 p.m. crash, the report states.
