51st Circuit Court sentencings, published Aug. 6, 2025

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court: 

Smith

– Devon Izac Mathew Smith, 29, pleaded guilty June to fourth-degree fleeing and eluding a police officer and was sentenced Aug. 4 to two months in jail with credit for 16 days served; two years probation; and $258 in fines and costs, according to court records. Charges of driving while license suspended and open intoxicants were dismissed. In a second file, Smith pleaded guilty June 2 to fleeing and eluding a police officer June 2 and was sentenced Aug. 4 to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $598 in fines and costs. A count of driving while license suspended was dismissed.

Klages

– Marshall Edward Klages, 34, pleaded guilty June 2 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and was sentenced Aug. 4 to 62 days in jail with credit for 63 days served; two years probation; and $198 in fines and costs, according to court records. In a second file, Klaeges pleaded guilty June 2 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and was sentenced Aug. 4 to 65 days in jail with credit for 65 days served; two years concurrent probation; and $598 in fines and costs.

Thrailkill

– Brandon Scott Thrailkill, 32, pleaded guilty June 3 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and was sentenced Aug. 4 to one year in jail with credit for 99 days served and $598 in fines and costs, according to court records. 

Colantuono

– Michael Anthony Colantuono, 31, pleaded guilty June 2 to three counts of check — no account and was sentenced Aug. 4 to 60 days in jail with credit for 10 days served; $395.29 restitution; and $734 in fines and costs, according to court records.

– Eric James Bingman, 44, pleaded guilty June 9 to uttering and publishing and was sentenced Aug. 4 to one year in jail; $665.85 in restitution; and $198 in fines and costs, according to court records. One count of forgery was dismissed. (No photo available)
