GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — Multiple fire departments from three counties battled a fire at David Allen Racing Motorsports, at 9589 S. Maple Island Rd., Saturday evening, July 26.
The business is a “total loss,” said Hesperia Fire Chief Bob Eichenberg Sunday morning. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m. and remained on scene until about midnight, said Chief Eichenberg.
“We had multiple departments from three other counties,” he said, including Oceana, Newaygo and Muskegon counties. No injuries were reported.
“I’m sure it will be investigated, but we don’t have any inclination on the cause.”
The business suffered a devastating fire just over 10 years ago.
Maple Island Road/M 120 was closed in the vicinity of the fire, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.
No other information was immediately available.
