CLAYBANKS TOWNSHIP — Get a head start on what your students will need for the 2025-26 school year. Parents with students of all grade levels are invited to attend Trinity Lutheran Church’s traditional “Backpack Blowout” Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 6–7 p.m.
Free backpacks stuffed with age-appropriate school supplies will be provided by TLC’s Women Helping Others (WHO) group. Attendees can enjoy a free walking taco dinner, games for all ages, raffles with prizes, books for children, various children’s activities and more.
All are welcome. TLC simply requires that students be present with parents to select their free backpacks.
Trinity Lutheran Church is located one mile west of the New Era US 31 exit on Stony Lake Road. It’s the church “Where Love Prevails.” For additional information about the event and TLC, call (231) 861-4059 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to noon or visit www.tlcnewera.org.
