The following is Oceana County Sheriff’s Office activity over the weekend:

Saturday, July 12, 2025:

• 1:02 a.m., malicious destruction of property, a car window was smashed causing $400 in damages, 2600 block of East Garfield Road, Ferry Township. The suspect is a 26-year-old Shelby man. 
• 5:50 p.m., larceny, 1500 block of West Shelby Road, Shelby Township. Items stolen include a hunting knife valued at $570, cologne valued at $50 and running shoes valued at $150.

Sunday, July 13, 2025:

• 12:42 a.m., assault, 8200 block of West Hazel Road, Golden Township.
• 8:36 p.m., a 50-year-old Rothbury woman was arrested operating while intoxicated, West Skeels Road, Otto Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Monday, July 14, 2025:

• 9:05 a.m., a 26-year-old Shelby man (the same man who is a suspect in the above-listed malicious destruction of property case) was arrested on charges of bond violation, probation violation and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, 5500 block of South 148th Avenue in Otto Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
• 9:58 a.m., malicious destruction of property, a mailbox was damaged, 5300 block of North 88th Avenue, Weare Township.
