FERRY TOWNSHIP — A 31-year-old Hesperia man was arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding police, operating with a high blood alcohol content (.17 or higher)/super drunk driving, second-offense driving while license revoked and parole violation Sunday, June 29, at 8:20 p.m. on East Garfield Road near 154th Avenue, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
During the police chase, the suspect reached speeds of 100 mph, said the sheriff. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

- 8:29 a.m., a 42-year-old Hesperia man was cited for second-offense driving while license revoked, East Garfield Road near Maple Island Road, Greenwood Township.
- 7:43 p.m., a 44-year-old Hart man was arrested for second-offense driving while license revoked and operating without insurance, East Adams Road near 120th Avenue, Crystal Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 8:39 p.m., assault, no arrest, West Shelby Road near 58th Avenue, Benona Township.
- 9:09 p.m., assault, no arrest, Fifth Street, Golden Township.
Saturday, June 28, 2025:
- 6:26 p.m., illegal entry of an unlocked garage, 1900 block of North Mears Street, Golden Township.
Sunday, June 29, 2025:
- 1:20 a.m., a 66-year-old Shelby man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, Harvey Street, Village of Shelby. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 3:18 p.m., a 52-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for operating while intoxicated after a motorcycle crash, 166th Avenue, Leavitt Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Monday, June 30, 2025:
- 9:10 a.m., a 23-year-old Kentwood man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a vehicle crash, East Garfield Road near 144th Avenue, Otto Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 7:40 p.m., domestic assault, 4700 block of South Maple Island Road, Newfield Township.
Tuesday, July 1, 2025:
- 9:35 p.m., a 46-year-old Montague man was arrested for methamphetamine possession, South 96th Avenue near Cleveland Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Wednesday, July 2, 2025:
- 3:58 a.m., a 44-year-old Montague man was arrested for second-offense driving while license revoked, Oceana Drive near Arthur Road, Grant Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 8:22 a.m., a 49-year-old Hart man for retail fraud and disorderly person, Dave’s Party Store, City of Hart. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail. The man was intoxicated and allegedly stole beer.
