Woman faces charges for allegedly bringing LSD into jail

GRANT TOWNSHIP — A 22-year-old Morton, Illinois woman faces charges of operating without insurance, open intoxicants, possession with intent to deliver LSD and bringing contraband into a jail following a traffic stop on Oceana Drive near Wilke Road Sunday, June 15, shortly after 9 p.m., said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

Following her arrest, contraband believed to be LSD was found in her possession at the Oceana County Jail, said the sheriff.

Four other individuals were arrested during the traffic stop on charges of open intoxicants — a 37-year-old Saint Petersburg, Florida man, a 29-year-old Lafayette, Louisiana man, a 32-year-old New Orleans, Louisiana man and a 28-year-old Toledo, Ohio man.

All five suspects were in the area to work at the Electric Forest Festival, said the sheriff.

Monday, June 9, 2025:

  • 1:17 p.m., a 27-year-old White Cloud woman was arrested on a warrant, South Street near Cook Street, Village of Hesperia. A drug possession charge is pending lab analysis of the substance. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 9:02 p.m., a 31-year-old Mears woman was arrested for assault and battery, 5700 block of West Third Street, Village of Mears. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Wednesday, June 11, 2025:

  • 7 a.m., a 35-year-old Hart man was arrested for domestic violence, 3400 block of North 72nd Avenue, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Thursday, June 12, 2025:

  • 6:38 a.m., a 38-year-old Alto, Michigan man was cited for driving while license revoked, US 31 near Jackson Road, Weare Township.

Friday, June 13, 2025:

  • 11:02 p.m., a 61-year-old Mission, Texas man was arrested for operating while intoxicated, East Madison Road near 186th Avenue, Colfax Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Saturday, June 14, 2025:

  • 9:09 p.m., a 34-year-old Muskegon man was cited for operating without insurance, First Street near Garfield Road, Village of New Era. A cocaine possession charge is pending lab analysis of the substance.
