Monday, May 19, 2025:
- 2:45 p.m., potential elder abuse, 3700 block of West VanBuren Road, Hart Township. The case is under investigation.
- 6:36 a.m., malicious destruction of property, a 2022 Jeep Cherokee’s windshield valued at $500 was smashed, 3400 block of West Webster Road, Grant Township.
Tuesday, May 20, 2025:
- 11:20 a.m., a blue 2022 Honda Shadow motorcycle was reported stolen, 1000 block of South Maple Island Road, Newfield Township.
- 11:48 a.m., malicious destruction of property, a residential bedroom window valued at $350 was smashed, 2100 block of North Morrison Street, Golden Township.
- 4:47 p.m., a 45-year-old Hart man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs, 6100 block of South Maple Island Road, Greenwood Township. A charge of heroin possession is pending lab analysis of the substance.
Thursday, May 22, 2025:
- 6:59 p.m., a 63-year-old Hesperia man was cited for driving an unregistered vehicle, and a drug possession charge against a 34-year-old Rothbury man is pending lab analysis of the substance, Michigan Avenue near Elm Street, Village of Hesperia.
Friday, May 23, 2025:
- 8:55 a.m., a Muskegon Heights man was cited for driving while license suspended, Deer Road near Wilson Road, Golden Township.
- 6:40 p.m., a 43-year-old Shelby man was arrested for third-offense operating while intoxicated and second-offense driving while license suspended, State Street near Second Street, Village of Shelby. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Saturday, May 24, 2025:
- 2:22 a.m., a 51-year-old Rothbury man was cited for retail fraud, Wesco, Village of Shelby.
- 5:12 a.m., a 38-year-old Hart man was arrested for operating while intoxicated following a vehicle crash, North Water Road near High Point Ridge Drive, Hart Township. No one was injured. The suspect was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 12:19 p.m., found firearm, 2200 block of North 64th Avenue, Golden Township.
Sunday, May 25, 2025:
- 9:21 a.m., a 20-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for vehicle theft after allegedly stealing a vehicle from the Shelby Road Baptist Church, West Shelby Road, Shelby Township. The suspect was found to be in possession of the stolen vehicle after crashing it into a utility pole on Polk Road in Hart. The crash was investigated by the Hart Police Department. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 4:39 p.m., a welder was reported stolen, 300 block of Cleveland Road, Grant Township. The welder, which is valued at $1,500, is a Miller SuitCase Xtreme 12 VS with Bauer Sheet Metal engraved on it.
- 9:12 p.m., a 26-year-old Las Vegas, Nevada man was cited for driving while license suspended, North Ridge Road near Easy Street, Golden Township.
Monday, May 26, 2025:
- 12:12 a.m., a 47-year-old Mears man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and open intoxicants, West Hazel Road near North Shore Drive, Golden Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 9:17 p.m., a 36-year-old Holton woman was arrested on a warrant, and a 37-year-old Holton man was arrested for second-offense driving while license revoked and operating without insurance, Loop Road near 164th Avenue, Newfield Township. A drug charge is pending lab analysis of the substance.
