79th District Court sentencings, published May 16, 2025

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

Shatia Marie Gilmer, 33, of Toledo, Ohio, pleaded guilty Dec. 3, 2024 to operating with a high blood alcohol content and was sentenced April 29, 2025 to three days in jail with credit for three days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); Victim Impact Panel; and $1,190 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

Erica Lynn Simpson, 43, of Shelby, pleaded “no contest” May 6 to assault and battery and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; six months probation; and $400 in fines and costs.

Devon Izac-Mathew Smith, 28, of Montague, pleaded guilty Feb. 25 to operating while impaired and was sentenced April 29 to five days in jail with credit for five days served; outpatient treatment; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; six months probation; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Melinda Elaine Lopez, 45, of Muskegon, pleaded “no contest” April 29 to assault and battery and was sentenced to $500 in fines and costs.

William Alan Slack, 27, of Hesperia, pleaded guilty April 29 to harboring misdemeanants and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served and $300 in fines and costs.

Brandon Scott Thrailkill, 31, of Hart, pleaded guilty May 6 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs and $30 restitution.

Kerri Marie Wright, 49, of New Era, pleaded guilty May 6 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs and $39.99 in restitution.

Esteven Escamilla, 48, of Hart, pleaded guilty May 6 to second-offense driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Dyllen Patrick Moses, 23, of White Cloud, pleaded guilty May 6 to DWLS and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Kriss Flores, 50, of Shelby, pleaded guilty April 30 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Caitlyn Nichole Fergison, 26, of Shelby, pleaded guilty to failure to report an accident and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs.

Gregory David Packard, 30, of Walkerville, pleaded guilty April 29 to DWLS and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Alfredo Garcia, 50, of Shelby, pleaded guilty April 29 to DWLS and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Jose Alfredo Villareal, 51, of Hart, pleaded guilty April 29 to DWLS and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
