The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a hazardous weather outlook alert as a line of severe thunderstorms is expected to hit west Michigan Thursday, evening, May 15.
“A line of severe thunderstorms will move through this evening with large hail, damaging downburst winds and tornadoes possible,” states NWS.
“Thunderstorms Friday evening could bring some hail and gusty winds. Frost and freezing temperatures are possible Sunday night.”
Counties that could be impacted by severe weather include Oceana, Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Newaygo, Mecosta, Isabella, Muskegon, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ottawa, Kent, Ionia, Clinton, Allegan, Barry, Eaton, Ingham, Van Buren, Kalamazoo, Calhoun and Jackson.
