HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court:
Belmares
– Roel Belmares, 30, pleaded “no contest” March 10 to assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder and was sentenced May 5 to 85 days in jail with credit for 85 days served; two years probation; and $450 in fines and costs. One count of unlawful driving away of a motor vehicle/car theft was dismissed.
Miles
– Michael Earl Miles, 58, pleaded guilty March 24 to methamphetamine/ecstasy possession and was sentenced May 5 to one day in jail with credit for one day served; one year probation; and $598 in fines and costs.
James
– Jason Darrel James, 48, pleaded guilty Jan. 13 to possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic and was sentenced May 5 to 30 days in jail with credit for 12 days served; one year probation; and $598 in fines and costs. A second count of possession of cocaine, heroin or another narcotic was dismissed.
