OCEANA COUNTY — The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a winter weather advisory that begins at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 23, and continues through 8 p.m. Monday, March 24.
The advisory includes Oceana, Mason, Lake, Osceola, Clare, Newaygo and Mecosta counties.
Total snow accumulations between 2 and 6 inches are expected, along with winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
“Rain and wet snow will develop this evening, changing to mostly snow after sunset,” states NWS. “Up to 2 inches of slushy snow accumulation is possible before it temporarily tapers off toward midnight. Another round of snow with additional accumulations up to 4 inches, as well as colder temperatures and windy conditions, will move in for later tonight and Monday.”
