HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

Paul Allen Allison, 49, of Muskegon, pleaded guilty March 4 to a misdemeanor of methamphetamine use and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 21 days served. Felony charges of methamphetamine possession and bringing contraband into a jail/prison were dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

Lawrence Lee Bauer, 26, of Montague, pleaded guilty March 4 to a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served; one year probation; mental health treatment; and $940 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Francisco Jair Mendoza, 39, of Shelby, pleaded guilty March 4 to a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; one year probation; outpatient counseling; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); Victim Impact Panel; and $1,295 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One misdemeanor count of alcohol — open container was dismissed.

Vincent Edward Williams, 60, of New Era, pleaded guilty March 4 to a misdemeanor of operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to one day in jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $950 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. 

Shannon Marie Horness, 55, of Norton Shores, pleaded no contest March 4 to a misdemeanor of methamphetamine use and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served; six months probation; and $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One felony count of methamphetamine possession was dismissed.

Kenneth Edward Field, 33, of Hart, pleaded guilty March 4 to a misdemeanor of third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $308.18 in fines and costs. One misdemeanor count of trespassing was dismissed.

Michael Neil Groenewood, 58, of Rothbury, pleaded guilty Feb. 25 to a misdemeanor of larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to three months probation and $200 in fines and costs.

Kenneth Wayne Riddle, 72, of Rothbury, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor of driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $200 in fines and fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Jason Dale Wilks, 40, of Hesperia, pleaded guilty March 4 to a misdemeanor of second-offense DWLS and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Sandra Kay Stoner, 61, of White Cloud, pleaded guilty March 3 to a misdemeanor of failure to report an accident and was sentenced to $175 in fines and costs.
