GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — A 41-year-old Hesperia man was arrested by Oceana County sheriff’s deputies after he allegedly ran naked down Garfield Road near 200th Avenue Monday, Feb. 24, shortly after 3:30 p.m., according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
The man, who also faces a felony charge of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Friday, Feb. 14, 2025:
- 5 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a 60-year-old Twin Lake woman was arrested on a fugitive warrant following a traffic stop, southbound US 31 near Skeels Road, Grant Township. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025:
- 3 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), a 27-year-old Hart man was arrested for tampering with an electronic monitoring device/tether, 88th Avenue and Shelby Road, Shelby Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025:
- 2:05 p.m., (OCSO), felonious assault involving a juvenile, 1900 block of West Oak St., Village of New Era.
Friday. Feb. 21, 2025:
- 12:25 a.m., (OCSO), a methamphetamine possession charge against a 45-year-old New Era man is pending lab analysis of the substance, Webster Road near Robinhood Drive, Grant Township.
- 3:49 p.m., (OCSO), three suspects — a 27-year-old Holton woman, a 34-year-old Hesperia man and a 45-year-old Grant man — were arrested on outstanding warrants, Main Street, Village of Walkerville. The female suspect was also charged with assaulting/resisting/obstructing police. They were all lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 5:25 p.m., (OCSO), a 47-year-old Shelby woman was cited for driving while license revoked, Stony Lake Road near 64th Avenue, Benona Township.
Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025:
- 12:13 a.m., (OCSO), a cocaine possession charge against a 63-year-old Hart man is pending lab analysis of the substance following a traffic stop, Shelby Road near US 31, Shelby Township. The suspect was cited for operating without insurance.
- 4:05 p.m., (OCSO), a 67-year-old Nunica man was cited for driving while license suspended, Division Street, Village of Hesperia.
Sunday, Feb. 23, 2025:
- 11:43 p.m., (OCSO), a 43-year-old Shelby man was arrested for assaulting/resisting/obstructing police during a traffic stop, Industrial Park Drive, Village of Shelby. He was cited for failure to display a valid driver’s license. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
Monday, Feb. 24, 2025:
- 6:12 p.m., (OCSO), a 40-year-old Shelby woman was arrested for domestic violence, 7200 block of South 88th Avenue, Village of Rothbury. She was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 10:51 p.m., (OCSO), a 42-year-old Hesperia woman and a 45-year-old Holton man were arrested on warrants, 1 Mile Road (M 20), Newaygo County. Warrants are pending for two other suspects for harboring fugitives.
Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025:
- 1:15 a.m., a 57-year-old New Era man was cited for driving while license revoked, Oceana Drive near Buchanan Road, Shelby Township.
