
Flossie Miller
Flossie Alna Miller, 92, of Pentwater passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. Flossie was born on December 20, 1932 in Ludington, the daughter of Andrew Edward and Winnie Ethel (Lincoln) Dains, and graduated from Ludington High School with the class of 1950. On July 4, 1953 she married Donald B. Miller and they celebrated 54 years together before Donald preceded her in death on March 7, 2008. Flossie was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Dorinda Blohm in 2019; her son Clinton Miller in 2017; her sisters Eleanor Morse, Violet Ethel Shannock, Rose Jacobson, and Kathleen Burns; and her brothers Gilbert and Edward Dains.
Flossie and Donald operated a farm in the New Era area for many years. After his passing, she moved to Pentwater near her sons Clinton and Byron and was tenderly cared for by her grandson Benjamin. Always a farm gal, Flossie loved to work in her garden. She would grow beautiful flowers to share with her family and brighten their day. In her younger years, she would enjoy crocheting to again share her creations with family. Flossie was also a proud cancer survivor beating Breast Cancer for many years.
Flossie will be greatly missed by her sons Byron (Julia) Miller of Pentwater, and Doland (Laura) Miller of Newport News, Va.; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; her sisters Winnie Barnett of Ludington, Jacqueline Cleveland of Muskegon, and Patricia Archambeau of Baldwin; along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held for Flossie at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 15 at Wyman Funeral & Cremation Services in Scottville. Burial will take place later this spring at Center Riverton Cemetery. Friends may meet with her family for a time of visitation on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
