The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:
Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025:
- 10:38 a.m., a 30-year-old Walkerville man was cited for driving while license suspended and operating without insurance, North 176th Avenue, Colfax Township.
Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025:
- 12:51 p.m., a 45-year-old Holton man was arrested on charges of driving without a license, improper license plate and operating without insurance, and a 42-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested for drug possession after the drug, which is believed to be methamphetamine, was field tested during a traffic stop and sent to the Michigan State Police crime lab for further analysis, Division Street near Alpha Street, Village of Hesperia. Both suspects were lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 4:45 p.m., a 48-year-old Hart man was cited for driving while license revoked, 126th Avenue near Madison Road, Crystal Township.
Friday, Jan. 10, 2025:
- 8 a.m., assault, no arrest, 100 block of Lathrop Street, Village of Walkerville.
- 2:29 p.m., bond violation, no arrest, 400 block of North Street, Village of Shelby.
Saturday, Jan. 11, 2025:
- 5:10 p.m., a 40-year-old Hart man was arrested for operating under the influence of drugs and transporting open intoxicants, Creek Drive near Enterprise Drive, City of Hart. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 8:21 p.m., a 43-year-old Walkerville man was arrested for drug possession with intent to deliver, 3800 block of West Melody Lane, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
- 8:34 p.m., a 51-year-old inmate assaulted another inmate, Oceana County Jail, City of Hart. The police report will be sent to the Oceana County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for review.
