HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:
- Brandon Scott Thrailkill, 31, of Mears pleaded guilty Aug. 13, 2024 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced Dec. 17, 2024 to 45 days in jail with credit for 15 days served; one year probation; and $400 in fines and costs. “Defendant must serve 30 more days in the Oceana County Jail. Once 30 days are served, fines and costs will be waived,” court records state.
- William Jeremiah Eastin, 44, of Walkerville, pleaded guilty Dec. 17 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE), Victim Impact Panel; and $515 in fines and costs. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
- Colton John Ohrling, 22, of Hesperia, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to operating while impaired and was sentenced Nov. 12 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; AHSE; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
- Anthony Curtis Wright, 31, of New Era, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; $500 in fines and costs; and the Smith and Wesson .38 Special Revolver is to be forfeited to the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office. One count of brandishing a firearm in public was dismissed.
- Troy Morden Lutzke, 55, of Walkerville; pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of second-offense operating while intoxicated and driving while license suspended were dismissed.
- Cameron Thomas Cenzer, 27, of Redford, Michigan, pleaded guilty Sept. 17 to operating while intoxicated and controlled substance — narcotic or cocaine use and was sentenced Nov. 12 to four days in jail with credit for four days served; six months probation; $1,928 in fines, costs and restitution. Two counts of controlled substance — narcotic or cocaine possession less than 25 grams were dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.
