Kevin Graves’ phone, wallet found near human remains

January 2, 2025

GRANT TOWNSHIP — A phone and wallet that belonged to Kevin Graves, the 28-year-old Oakland County man who disappeared while attending the Electric Forest Festival in 2018, were found near the scene where human remains were discovered Monday, Dec. 30, Graves’ sister told Wood TV 8.

Kevin Graves’ father, Gary Graves, told mlive that Kevin Graves’ phone and wallet were found, along with his festival wristband. The remains were found by two hunters clearing land, according to mlive.

Forensic anthropologists responded to the scene to assist Michigan State Police in the investigation, according to MSP, and the remains have not yet been identified.

The remains were discovered on private property near the Double JJ Resort, the venue for the popular music festival.

Multiple searches following his disappearance yielded no trace of the missing man. A billboard was put up along US 31 near the festival grounds in 2023 in the hopes of getting answers for Graves’ family.
