79th District Court sentencings, published Dec. 20, 2024

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

Jeffrey Louis Kaiser, 65, of 18950 Elli Lane, Fruitport, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcoholics Anonymous twice a week; one year probation; and $1,155 in fines and costs. If he is accepted into sobriety court in Muskegon County, his probation in Oceana County will be terminated, court records state. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS). 

Landon Milo Hage, 18, of 3457 Hillcrest Rd., Hudsonville, pleaded guilty Dec. 17 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); Victims Impact Panel; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Eric Richard Zylstra, 52, of 49 State St., Hart, pleaded guilty Dec. 17  to disturbing the peace and was sentenced to 16 days in jail with credit for 16 days served and $125 in fines and costs. One felony count of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police was dismissed.

Luis Omar-Cortez Ramirez, 26, of 619 Woodlawn Crt., Hart, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to alcohol — open container in a vehicle. One count of DWLS was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Heath James Thomas, 28, of 6640 W. Shelby Rd., Shelby, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to reckless use of a firearm and was sentenced to $500 in fines and costs. A Ruger .22 caliber rifle must be forfeited to the Michigan State Police.

Jennifer Mary Rupright, 44, of 9449 Walsh Rd., Montague, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Steven Geno Rice III, 27, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to receiving and concealing stolen property and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Two counts of DWLS were dismissed.

Terry Lee Lennox, 65, of 3058 W. Tahoe Trl., New Era, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to allowing a person to drive in violation. One count of DWLS was dismissed.

Amanda Lynn Smith, 38, of 1915 Garfield Rd., New Era, pleaded guilty Dec. 10 to harboring escapees and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. One count of harboring a felons was dismissed.

Daniel Jay Malm, 35, of 275 Laurel St., Walkerville, pleaded guilty Dec. 6 to DWLS and was sentenced to $150 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
