79th District Court sentencings, published Dec. 3, 2024

HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:

Benito Escamilla, Jr., 54, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to larceny less than $200 and was sentenced to 89 days suspended jail with credit for 89 days served and $345 in fines, costs and restitution. Escamilla pleaded guilty to larceny by false personation less than $200 and was sentenced to 89 days suspended jail with credit for 89 days served and $200 in fines, costs and restitution.

Tyler Ray Billings, 21, of 4219 E. Yonker Rd., Hesperia, pleaded guilty Nov. 5 to second-offense operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Nov. 26 to three days in jail with credit for three days served; six months probation; Alcoholics Anonymous twice a week; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,1555 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).

Gregory Stewart Walkenshaw, 22, of 5468 N. 126th Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to two days in jail with credit for two days served and $1,155 in fines and costs. One count of failure to report an accident was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Jacob Thomas Stefans, 35, of 2524 Knollview St., SW, Wyoming, Michigan, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to failure to report an accident and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served and $45 in costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. Charges of operating while intoxicated and operating while intoxicated with an occupant under age 16 were dismissed. 

Tyler Lee Riggs, 21, of 317 E. Polk Rd., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to six months probation; Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating with a high blood alcohol content was dismissed.

Roger Lee Croff, 55, of 163R N. Michigan Ave., Shelby, pleaded guilty Oct. 8 to operating while impaired and was sentenced Nov. 19 to two days in jail with credit for two days served; AHSE, Victim Impact Panel, outpatient counseling; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating while intoxicated was dismissed

Eric James Cutler, 40, of 2821 E. Meisenheimer Rd., Custer, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to operating while impaired and was sentenced to four days in jail with credit for four days served; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $1,055 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of operating without insurance was dismissed.

Marcus David Pierce, 34, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty July 30 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced Nov. 12 to nine days in jail with credit for nine days served; six months probation; and $520 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Steven Joseph Mendoza, 26, of 6969 N. 126th Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 12 to operating while impaired by a controlled substance and was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for four days served; AHSE; Victim Impact Panel; and $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of driving without a license/cycle endorsement was dismissed.

Maciej B. Jarosz, 37, of 6741 W. 113th St., Fort Worth, Texas, pleaded guilty Nov. 5 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to $765 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Daniel Lee DeHoff, 35, of 11423 US Hwy. 31, Montague, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to 72 days in jail with credit for 46 days served and $17.55 in restitution.

Keith Anthony Dykman, Jr., 42, of 1674 Evanston Ave., Muskegon, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to driving while license suspended (DWLS) and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Joshua Daniel-Riggs Easton, 44, of 6585 Taylor Rd., Mears, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

William James Reichle, 52, second-offense of 985 N. Luce Ave., White Cloud, pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Jose Manuel Rodriguez, Jr., 19, of 7072 N. 120th Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 20 to disturbing the peace and operating without a license. All fines and costs were waived. Conviction of the second count reportable to SOS.

Brandon Michael Bigelow, 21, of 2465 James Ave., Muskegon, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to DWLS and was sentenced to $150 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Melenda Sharree Andrews, 35, of 315 State St., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to DWLS and was sentenced to a $75 fee. Conviction reportable to SOS.

James Castio Estrada, 34, of 89 N. Cook St., Hesperia, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to DWLS and was sentenced to $300 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Raelynn Marie Dykman, 43, of 2909 S. Quarterline Rd., Muskegon, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to DWLS and was sentenced to $175 in fines and costs. One count of open alcohol container in vehicle was dismissed. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Heidi Sue-Vannett Kludy, 42, of 4305 S. 124th Ave., Shelby, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to DWLS and was sentenced to $125 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Timothy Charles Hardy, 53, of 5687 W. Dickerson Lake Rd., Stanton, pleaded guilty Nov. 19 to DWLS and was sentenced to $200 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Jaime Boyd Edward William Head, 42, of 7577 W. Johnson Rd., Shelby, pleaded guilty Nov. 18 to failure to report a property damage accident and was sentenced to $160 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of failure to stop for a property damage accident was dismissed.

Odorisio Phillip-Joshua Bishop, 34, of 603 136th Ave., Holland, Michigan, pleaded guilty Nov. 18 to DWLS and was sentenced to $175 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Daniel Jay Malm, 35, of 275 Laurel St., Walkerville, pleaded guilty Nov. 18 to DWLS and was sentenced to $150 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.

Roy James Alltop, 53, of 3241 N. 72nd Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty Nov. 12 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS. One count of improper plates was dismissed.
