Curtis James Minzey, 30, of Hesperia, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024. He was born March 1, 1994, in Fremont, and attended Hesperia High School.
Curtis was a dear father, son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, and friend. He truly possessed a heart of gold, and would selflessly do anything for anyone, even if that meant putting himself last. His love culminated when his daughter, Aria was born; but his love was felt to no end by his family and friends.
Curtis was a dreamer and had a soft spot for his pets. He was also a great story teller, and had a knack for selling. Curtis could flip a sale on anything, and usually at a good price. He could also fix anything, generally to a better condition than when he found it. Curtis especially loved working on cars and bikes, which his family vows to carry on.
Curtis also enjoyed the adventures of camping, and relaxing in a hammock was his ultimate paradise. It was nature where he could find connection to art, where he could take beautiful photographs, notably, his photos of west Michigan sunsets.
Curtis never missed a chance to make sure everyone around him felt the love he had for them. He also tried to build you up and make sure that you didn’t sell yourself short, or that you were afforded the same opportunities as everyone else.
Curtis is survived by: his daughter, Aria Minzey; his parents, Roger (Carissa) Minzey and Cindy (Bill) English; siblings, Jeramiah (Emily) Minzey, Destiny (John) Minzey, William (Aleah) English, Dalton (Kat) English, Chasity English, and Derrick Minzey; grandparents, Cathy Burrows and Yvonne Brandt; aunt, Ann (Brody) Burrell; uncle, Eric (Lindsey) Minzey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Curtis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ron Burrows, Roger Minzey Sr., and James Brandt.
