Janice Shingler
Janice Ann (Anderson) Shingler, 64, of New Era, passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on Monday, October 14, 2024. Janice was Carson and Pauline (Vokes) Anderson’s first of seven baby girls, born November 16, 1959, at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon.
She attended Hesperia High School. After high school, Janice went on to Baker College where she graduated as a medical assistant. With her love of caring for those in need, especially the elderly, Janice worked as a CNA for years, where she truly excelled
Above all the things that Janice enjoyed, time spent in the presence of her family and loved ones was number one. Always kept perfectly neat and tidy, Janice’s home was like no other; always welcoming and abundant in love and kindness. She loved deeply, fiercely, and never missed a chance to tell her loved ones just how special they were to her.
Janice is survived by: her children, Nicole Anderson, Edward Riley, Joshua (Melissa) Riley, and Brittany (Jared) McKiddie; stepchildren, Billy Shingler and David Shingler; grandchildren, Kameron, Nevan, Dean, Lilly, Robert Gene, Jordyn, Braylee, Wyatt, Jasper, Bentley and Hunter; and siblings, Daniel (Brenda) Anderson, Ronald Anderson, Carol Mast, Linda (Mike) Albritton, Joan (Joseph) Liégeois, Katherine Shuman, Thomas (Tamara) Anderson, Christine (John) Wade, and Jennifer (Ector) Garza.
Janice was preceded in death by: her baby boy, James Edward Riley; stepson, Glen Shingler; her beloved husband, best friend, and love of her life, Benny Gene Shingler; and precious father, Carson Leroy Anderson.
Janice’s sweet smile, gentle nature, and kind heart will be missed deeply and by many.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 1 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 263 S Elm St, Hesperia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Brittany McKiddie 2948 W Tahoe trail, New Era MI 49446.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
