Obituary: Marian Elaine Pulsipher, 79, of Hesperia

Marian Elaine Pulsipher, 79, of Hesperia, passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2024. She was born September 20, 1945, in Fremont, the daughter of Leonard and Fannie (Newton) Jackson.

Marian was a familiar face at the old Five Lakes Restaurant in downtown Hesperia, where she worked as a cook for many years. She later worked at Hesperia Elementary School as an aide and ‘grandma’. Marian had a nurturing spirit and always tried to give to others and volunteer. When she moved to Regency of Fremont, she was still involved on a resident committee and helping set up the dining room for meals.

Marian was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She absolutely adored her grandchildren and was instrumental in caring for them for many years. Marian never missed an opportunity to show her love to them with presents for all occasions. Along with spending time with her family, she also enjoyed camping adventures and trips to the casino.

Marian is survived by: her children, Carl Pulsipher and his wife, Cheryl, and Joseph Pulsipher and his lifelong companion, Sheri Frees; her grandchildren, Kinsey, Jacob, Randell, Jacki, and Brandi; her five great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Sandra Bugbee and Mary Jackson.

Marian was preceded in death by: her loving husband, Francis Pulsipher; her parents, Leonard and Fannie Jackson; her siblings, Patricia (Jack) Laisure, Corwin (Joan) Jackson, Calvin (Susan) Jackson, and Carl Jo Jackson.

Graveside services will be held at a later date at East Hesperia Cemetery.
