Several drivers cited or arrested for driving on suspended and revoked licenses

Oceana County sheriff’s deputies were busy over the Labor Day weekend, issuing tickets to several drivers with suspended or revoked driver’s licenses.

The following is recent activity of the Oceana County Sheriff’s Office:

Friday, Aug. 30, 2024:

  • 11:20 a.m., stalking, no arrest, 8500 block of South 200th Avenue, Greenwood Township.
  • 2:37 p.m., a 36-year-old Hesperia man was arrested for assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, methamphetamine possession, operating without insurance and improper license plate, South Street, Village of Hesperia. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 8:36 p.m., a 27-year-old Shelby man was cited for second-offense driving while license suspended, Polk Road near Oceana Drive, Hart Township.
  • 9:45 p.m., a 43-year-old Shelby man was cited for operating without insurance, driving while license revoked and open intoxicants, 100 block of North Michigan Avenue, Village of Shelby.
  • 11:39 p.m., a 25-year-old Hart man was arrested on an outstanding warrant and for charges of second-offense driving while license revoked and open intoxicants, 72nd Avenue near Baseline Road, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 11:40 p.m., a 70-year-old Ludington man was arrested for operating while intoxicated and driving while license suspended following a vehicle crash, East Madison Road near 144th Avenue, Crystal Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Saturday, Aug. 31, 2024:

  • 12:03 p.m., malicious destruction of property, no arrest, 6700 block of West Fox Road, Golden Township.
  • 9:56 p.m., a 54-year-old Burton, Michigan man was cited for driving while license revoked, West Polk Road near 56th Avenue, Golden Township.

Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024:

  • 8:11 a.m., assault, no arrest, 100 block of State Street, City of Hart.
  • 6:26 p.m., domestic assault, no arrest, North Shore Drive, Golden Township.

Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2024:

  • 3:41 p.m., a 51-year-old Mears man was arrested for driving while license suspended, Polk Road near US 31, Hart Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.
  • 4:50 p.m., a 29-year-old Pentwater man was arrested for felonious assault, parole violation and assaulting/resisting/obstructing police, 300 block of Washington Road, Crystal Township. He was lodged in the Oceana County Jail.

Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2024:

  • 7:09 a.m., car vs. house crash, no injuries, 300 block of South Maple Island Road, Newfield Township. Other information was not immediately available.
