GOLDEN TOWNSHIP — A 20-year-old Coopersville man was killed in a crash at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes ORV area Sunday, Sept. 1, around 5:45 p.m., according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.
He was operating a Honda 450 quad when it crashed with a Can-Am Side-by-Side in the northwest portion of the ORV area. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The condition of the other driver was not immediately known.
This is the second deadly crash that occurred in the ORV area this year. Safety signs were installed at the front gate last month.
