SHELBY — Residents are invited to participate in a public meeting Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m. at the Shelby Township Hall, 204 N. Michigan Ave., to discuss the development of a new 40,000-square-foot sports complex at the new Shelby Township Community Park.
The meeting will offer community members an opportunity to provide input on the amenities and programs they would like to see incorporated into the complex.
“This meeting is a critical step in ensuring that the sports complex reflects the needs and desires of the Shelby Township community,” states a press release from the township. “The township is eager to hear from residents about what features and activities would best serve the community, from recreational sports to wellness programs and beyond.”
For those unable to attend the meeting in person, a virtual attendance option is available via Zoom at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/3322419785?pwd=QzNNeklsRXIzV2p3VVdhOS9aQVVMZz09.
Shelby Township Supervisor Richard Raffaelli emphasized the importance of community involvement: “This sports complex is being developed with our residents in mind. We encourage everyone to share their ideas and help shape a facility that will benefit the entire community for years to come.”
“The township is committed to making the sports complex a space that fosters physical activity, community engagement, and overall wellbeing,” states the press release. “Your input is vital to making this vision a reality.”
