Acoustic Oasis to perform at New Era Farmers’ Market Aug. 27

NEW ERA — Acoustic Oasis is set to perform at the next New Era Farmers’ Market Tuesday, Aug. 27, at 5 p.m.

“This is a repeat performance that was well received last year and is sure to entertain,” said Market Manager Sandy Whitaker.

The market’s theme is “Fun with Flowers.” Children will receive basic instruction on flower arranging and will be able to take home a flower arrangement they make.

The market kicks off at 4 p.m. with the kids’ Power of Produce Club story time with Bradley Youngstrom. Kids can enter a drawing for up to six day passes at Sand Castles Children’s Museum in Ludington.

Vendors are promising peaches, apples, tomatoes and other seasonal homegrown veggies. Weesies Brothers Garden Center and Landscaping will offer sweet corn, perennials and succulents.

“We have vendors coming all the way from Holland and even had one from Flint at the last market,” said Whitaker. “We have some of the finest artisans and crafters — come on out and enjoy the market!”

The market is located at 1820 Ray Ave. Look for market mascot, Raye the Scarecrow, on the corner with the sign.
