The following is recent police activity in Oceana County:

Monday, Aug. 5, 2024:

• 5:30 p.m., (Michigan State Police), a local man in his 60s is a suspect in an incident in which a firearm was discharged at a dwelling, North Oceana Drive, Weare Township. No one was injured.

Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024:

• 9:30 p.m., (MSP), assault, North US 31, Pentwater Township. A report will be forwarded to the Oceana County Prosecutor’s Office to seek an assault charge against a 40-year-old Oceana County man. Minor injuries were reported.

Friday, Aug. 9, 2024:

• 1:21 p.m., (Oceana County Sheriff’s Office), larceny of a computer, 3800 block of West Melody Lane, Hart Township.
• 9:21 p.m., (OCSO), a 35-year-old Bitely woman was arrested on a warrant, North State Street, Village of Hesperia. A charge of methamphetamine possession is pending lab analysis of the substance.

Sunday, Aug. 11, 2024:

• 1:38 p.m., (OCSO), malicious destruction of property, 104th Avenue near Adams Road, Weare Township.
• 11:06 p.m., (OCSO), a charge of methamphetamine possession is pending lab analysis of the substance for a 38-year-old Ludington man and a 28-year-old Ludington woman, Loop Road near 192nd Avenue, Newfield Township.
