COLFAX TOWNSHIP — Two passengers in a minivan were injured in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday, July 30, at 4:20 p.m. on East Madison Road near 168th Avenue, according to an Oceana County Sheriff’s Office accident report.
The driver, who is a 25-year-old Hart man, was cited for driving without a license, according to the report.
The man was driving a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan carrying four passengers westbound on East Madison Road, which “was under construction for the surface being resealed and more aggregate being added,” the report states. The driver lost control of the minivan, which slid into trees along the road.
A 23-year-old Hart man and a 32-year-old Hart man were transported by Life EMS to Trinity Health Shelby Hospital, the report states. They were not wearing seat belts. A 24-year-old Hart man, who was also unbelted, and a 21-year-old Hart man, who was wearing a seat belt, were not injured. The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured.
