Ann Elizabeth Burdick, 70, of Hesperia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones at home. She was born January 13, 1954, in Banbury, Oxfordshire, England, to Cecil F. and Phyllis N. (Morris) Nash. She was the third of four children, including her sisters, Judy (Pete) Floyd and Heather (Malcom) Simpson; and brother, Philip (Sue) Nash.
Ann moved to the United States from England in 1973. She lived in Battle Creek, Bellevue, and ultimately settled in Hesperia. Ann worked for Ed’s Orchard Market in Hesperia in the bakery for over 16 years. She was a great support to all of her grandchildren’s sporting events over the years and felt great joy seeing her great-grandchildren smile and play. She was fondly known by many as ‘Grandma Donut’. Ann took great pleasure in spending time with all of her family and friends. She also enjoyed donating her time to make pasties at the Hesperia American Legion. She loved traveling with her significant other Larry, especially to the Upper Peninsula to hunt for Yooperlites, as well as camping and fishing in the Au Gras area of Saginaw Bay.
Ann is survived by: her significant other, Lawrence Tinkham, Sr.; son, Simon (Cheryl) Burdick; daughters, Joan Burdick-Longcore and Paula (Brandon) Bolles; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and extend family members.
Ann was preceded in death by: both of her parents, Cecil and Phyllis Nash; and sister and brother-in-law, Heather and Malcom Simpson.
A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Hesperia American Legion Post #411, 4075 South 198th Avenue, Hesperia.
