WEARE TOWNSHIP — Oceana County Economic Alliance, powered by The Right Place, is hosting Pitch North, which is an entrepreneurial pitch competition open to people who live in Lake, Newaygo and Oceana counties.
Current or aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners are encouraged to submit their pitch for consideration through Friday, June 28, at 11:59 p.m. at Bit.ly/pitchnorth2024
A committee of local leaders will review and score all submissions. Five finalists will be chosen to pitch their ideas for a chance to win cash prizes at a live event at the Earl and Linda Peterson West Michigan Research Station, at 5185 Oceana Drive, Aug. 7, from 4-6 p.m. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
Pitch North began in 2019 as an idea pitching competition created to spark change and promote entrepreneurial progress in Lake, Newaygo and Oceana counties. It has engaged more than 130 entrepreneurs, awarding more than $49,000 in cash and prizes to 25 finalists, including previous Oceana County finalists and winners: Birch & Blossom, Big Skinny’s Pretzels, Bohemian Boutique, Hearth Magic, A Garden in the Woods Farm, Courtney’s Canine Creations, and A New Era of Crafting.
Pitch North is hosted by The Right Place, Inc. with partners — Lake County Economic Development Alliance, Newaygo County Economic Development Partnership, and Oceana County Economic Alliance.
