Karen Segelstrom

Karen L. Segelstrom, 65, of Hart, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. She was born in Muskegon on August 10, 1958; but resided in the Hart area most of her life. Karen loved gardening and had quite the green thumb.

Karen’s bigger role in life was being a “protector” to family and friends. If you were lucky enough to find a way through her tough exterior, you found a woman dedicated to her beloved partner, siblings, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. She cherished her family always putting their needs before her own. Karen wouldn’t have it any other way.

Karen is survived by: her beloved fiancé, Jim Nichols; her children, Marsha Killips and Ron North Jr.; siblings, George, Diane, Dan, Sheila (Kim), Terri, Tim (Joanne), Jeff, and Denise(Mike); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by: her parents, George and Margaret Segelstrom; and her sister, Pam.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2024, Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72nd Avenue, Hart. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Luncheon will immediately follow at the John Gurney Park Pavilion, 111 Eastern Park Road, Hart.

Karen was cherished at Murphy’s Bar in Weare Township where she retired as a cook and made many lifelong friends. Everyone is welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, June 30, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Murphy’s Bar, 8848 N 80th Ave, Pentwater.
