ROTHBURY — Electric Forest Festival organizers urged festival attendees to stay inside their vehicles as thunderstorms rolled through the area Saturday on the third day of the massive four-day event at the Double JJ Resort.
“Due to severe weather, move to your vehicles,” Electric Forest posted on X, formerly Twitter Saturday morning, June 22. “If you do not have a vehicle, proceed to the nearest shelter bus. Watch here for updates and tune in to 99.5 FM.”
Approximately an hour later, organizers posted the following:
“The festival has resumed normal operations. We are continuing to monitor throughout the day. Download the official Electric Forest mobile app for the most up-to-date schedule and weather information.”
A line of “strong to severe storms” pushing east from Wisconsin across Lake Michigan is expected to hit the area Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids
