NEW ERA — Blues, jazz and rock band Truck Driver Bingo will perform at the next New Era Farmers’ Market Tuesday, June 25, from 4-7 p.m.
KPOP Club will celebrate the Dog Days of Summer from 4-5 p.m. Kids can watch two puppet shows with Kati O’Grady and friends from Muskegon and Amazing Dog Tricks and Feats with the Oceana 4-H Club. Bubble wands will be given away, and there will be a drawing for two gift certificates to Craig’s Cruisers in Silver Lake. Each child will receive two tokens valued at $4 to purchase produce, and seniors will receive $5 to purchase produce.
The market issues and accepts tokens for SNAP/EBT, DUFB and Senior Market Fresh Coupons. An MSU Extension “Discover Michigan Fresh” Cooking class from 5-6 p.m. will feature roasted asparagus. Enjoy take-home bags with the recipe and ingredients to prepare the dish at home.
