Jean Lowery
Jean Edith Lowery 68, of Walkerville, passed away unexpectedly on May 28, at SKLD nursing home in Whitehall.
Jean was born on June 15,1955 to Melvin and Edith (Joyce) (Rausch) Shattuck. She was the third of eight children.
On April 26, 1975, Jean married her husband Eugene Donald Lowery. Jean went on to being a loving wife of 49 years and a mother of three children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, whom she loved dearly.
Jean worked a few jobs in her life starting out with being a mother, then a secretary, a pizza cook, a tax preparer, and ending with a cashier at Walmart.
Jean’s passions in life were her family and cooking for them.
Jean is survived by her loving children Kimberly Lowery of Bitely, Jacqueline Lowery of Hesperia, and James Lowery of Hesperia. Her five grandchildren Michael (Grace) Lowery, Cloie Lowery, Samantha Hill-Lowery, Shawn Lowery and Lillyana Lowery. And great-grandchild Charlotte Lowery.
Her siblings Susan McQuaid of Barryton, LeVern Shattuck of Princeton, Texas, Janice Russell of Shepard, Daniel (Rebekah) Shattuck of Traverse City, Lance Shattuck of Mt Pleasant, and Bradley (Tina) Shattuck of Holland and brother-in-law Richard Lowery of Mt Pleasant. As well as close family friends William (DJ) and Tammy Trussell and several nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister Barbara Bigalow and brother-in-law Douglas Lowery.
Jean will be cremated, and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
