Corrections officers noticed “odd behavior” of the female inmates the evening of May 13, said Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

– Candice Lee Fennel, 28, of 6441 E. Filmore Rd., Hesperia, is charged with methamphetamine possession and jail contraband.
“We take the safety and health of the inmates in our custody and protection very seriously,” said Oceana County Prosecuting Attorney Joseph Bizon. “We take the integrity and security of the jail very seriously. We do not intend to take misbehavior by those already serving a sentence for misbehavior lightly.
Meth possession is punishable by up to 10 years in prison; prisoner possessing contraband is punishable by up to five years; lying to a peace officer carries a two-year maximum; meth delivery/manufacture has a 20-year maximum; and furnishing contraband carries a five-year maximum term.
