HART — The Pentwater Arts Council recently announced the winners of the 2024 Oceana County Student Art Show sponsored by the Pentwater Arts Council. The two-day art exhibit, May 3 and 4, at the Oceana County Council on Aging broke the event’s nine-year attendance record.
Students from all Oceana County schools were invited to submit their artwork. Best of Show, People’s Choice, first, second and third place in 2D and 3D art winners were awarded monetary prizes for their placement. Voting by the community determined the winners of the People’s Choice awards, while professional local artists juried the remaining categories.
Hart High School student Kamryn Taylor created the 2024 Student Art Show poster for publicity and was also awarded for her art work. Awards were presented at the conclusion of the exhibit followed by a reception.
