HART — The following were sentenced recently in Oceana County’s 79th District Court:
Bradley James Skofic, 46, of 2864 E. Garfield Rd., Hesperia, pleaded guilty April 30 to third-degree retail fraud and was sentenced to four days suspended jail with credit for four days served and $128.30 in restitution.
Jessica Dean Devan, 51, of 721 N. Rowe St., Ludington, pleaded guilty April 30 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to Alcohol Highway Safety Education (AHSE); Victim Impact Panel (VIP); and $1,170 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to the Secretary of State (SOS).
Leonardo Espinoza-Rubio, 27, of 1988 O’Connor St., Sparta, pleaded guilty May 7 to operating while intoxicated and was sentenced to one day suspended jail with credit for one day served; AHSE; VIP; and $1,155 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Joshua Verne Carlson, 27, of 5673 W. Stony Lake Rd., New Era, pleaded guilty May 1 to forest fires — no burning permit and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs.
Grosvenor Ronald Humphreys, 55, of 558 N. 200th Ave., Hesperia, pleaded guilty May 1 to DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Porfirio Antonio Escamilla, 46, of 6676 N. 126th Ave., Hart, pleaded guilty May 7 to second-offense DWLS and was sentenced to $400 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Raymond Howard Denevan, 36, of 2157 W. Bard Rd., Muskegon, pleaded guilty May 7 to attempted assaulting/resisting/obstructing police and was sentenced to three days in jail with credit for three days served and $1,000 in fines and costs. Two felony counts of assaulting/resisting/obstructing police were dismissed.
Dasha Lynn Hawkins, 39, of 906 E. Ludington Ave., Ludington, pleaded guilty April 30 to domestic violence and was sentenced to 45 days suspended jail with credit for 45 days served and six months probation.
Jacob Matthew Ustick, 31, of 511 Wood St., Hart, pleaded “no contest” April 30 to assault and battery and was sentenced to three days suspended jail with credit for three days served; three months probation; and $500 in fines and costs. Two counts of selling/furnishing alcohol to minors were dismissed. One count of DWLS was dismissed in a separate case.
Michelle Lynn Bersonnet, 52, of 1923 Franklin St., Muskegon, pleaded guilty May 1 to open intoxicants in a vehicle and was sentenced to $375 in fines and costs. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Nikolas Paul Martin, 22, of 139 S. Menes St., Walkerville, pleaded guilty April 30 to DWLS and was sentenced to a $75 fine. Conviction reportable to SOS.
Kaycie Jordan Maier, 28, of 958 Marie St., Hesperia, pleaded guilty April 16 to assault and battery and was sentenced to 11 days in jail with credit for 11 days served; six months probation; and $500 in fines and costs.
