13 guns reported stolen in break-in

OTTO TOWNSHIP — Thirteen guns were reported stolen during a breaking and entering to a house that was reported Tuesday afternoon, May 7, in the 3300 block of East Garfield Road, according to Oceana County Sheriff Craig Mast.

The stolen guns include:

  • 12-gauge Rock Island shotgun valued at $400
  • 12-gauge Tristar shotgun valued at $500
  • Ruger Model 77 bolt-action .270 caliber with 3 X 19 power scope valued at $450
  • Ruger All American .270 valued at $375
  • Hatfield single shot .410 valued at $75
  • Remington Model 870 20-gauge shotgun with pump valued at $250;
  • Ithaca 51 12-gauge valued at $400
  • Smith & Wesson AR 15  with a .223 caliber valued at $650
  • Mossberg Deer Thug bolt-action .243 valued at $300
  • Henry Golden Boy lever-action 22 valued at $350
  • Rossi .410/22 single shot valued at $250
  • Ruger SR1 .40 caliber handgun valued at $275
  • Remington semi automatic 1911 .45-caliber chrome pistol valued at $350.

Other items reported stolen were a 70-inch flatscreen TV valued at $650 and a work bag containing bolts valued at $100.

Another break–in was reported, May 7, at 1:04 a.m. in the 4100 block of East Garfield Road in Otto Township, said Mast. Several tools and power tools were reported stolen. Some of the stolen items were recovered during a traffic stop, said Mast. No arrests have been made.
