PENTWATER — The Pentwater Service Club is now accepting nominations for the club’s 2024 Citizen of the Year. The winner will be recognized at an Oct. 10 community dinner and program held in their honor at the Pentwater Yacht Club.

“Each year the club recognizes a Pentwater area citizen who has performed outstanding service for the betterment of the community through civic, charitable, educational, or other activities,” said Ken Konyha, incoming club president. Konyha will serve as master of ceremony at the event.

Nominations may be submitted by anyone, regardless of where they live. Submissions must be in writing and submitted no later than May 17, 2024. All nominations will be considered — the candidate does not have to be a member of the PSC.

Nomination forms are available at www.pentwaterserviceclub.org under the “formsheading. Persons previously nominated are kept on file, so it’s not necessary to nominate them again.

Tickets to the 2024 Citizen of the Year celebration will go on sale Sept. 10 at Port View Wine and Spirits, Up North Market, or from any PSC member.
