HART — A jury rendered a guilty verdict of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct for a 54-year-old Mears man following a trial Wednesday, May 8, in Oceana County’s 51st Circuit Court
Max Allen Sinclair, of 2214 N. Cousineau Ave., remains lodged in the Oceana County Jail without bond until sentencing June 10, said Oceana County Prosecutor Joseph Bizon.
Sinclair sexually assaulted a 15-year-old boy at a gym in Hart last October, said Bizon. “CSC 4 is the sexual touching of another. The variable applied in this case is that the victim was 15. But this was not consensual.”
Sinclair faces a maximum possible term of two years in jail for the high-court misdemeanor conviction.
The jury deliberated for an hour and 22 minutes, said Bizon.
